Statement of Purpose.
The Senior Citizens Ministry exists as an arm of the Church to serve the elderly and their caregivers in our Church, Community and beyond.
Objectives of Senior Citizens Ministry
- Provide a forum for fellowship with one another. This will help tackle loneliness, this objective will be achieved through;
- Bible studies and discussion groups
- Social gatherings
- Prayer fellowship
- Retreats
- Excursions (Visits to places)
- Motivational and topical discussions by invited speakers.
- Encourage the elderly in the Church and Community through prayer, fellowships and visitations.
- Cater for the spiritual, material and social needs of the elderly. Through the Church fraternity. The ministry will assist the elderly in their most important needs such as food, shelter, clothing and Medicare.
- Provide spiritual, emotional, physical support to the care givers of the elderly,
This objective will be achieved through;
- Home visitations
- Organized caregivers fellowships for prayer and encouragement
- Caregivers’ workshops to discuss the needs of caregivers and offer training.
