Children Ministry
Word of welcome
Welcome to Ridgeways Baptist Children's church. As our general Church moto says this is the church where every child is someone and God is all, we welcome all children from age 5-15 (3 year and below attend the services in the mother's Crèche). our service runs concurrently with the main church service 8;30 for first service and 11am for the second service, we value al the children as God has created them in his unique way.
What we do
We have a very vibrant service where together we do worship, prayers, celebrate visitors & Birthdays, Bible games/Trivia and or Presentation and thereafter divide into our age sensitive breakout lessons time.
We have a tailor-made programme called ROPES which is facilitated by Tanari Trust together with our trained trainers which looks to prepare teens for transition from children’s church to Teens/Youth church.
We also saw the need to walk with our young men in their transition from boyhood to manhood hence introduced a program called Ridgeways Baptist Church Shujaa initiation program which currently takes place during November- December holidays and we have received over 50boys every year for the past 5years Now.
Our Goal or mission as children’s Church is to Nature and develop children into Christlike maturity giving them a stand against the evil one as we point them to the cross consequently affecting generations with God’s word as they progress in life
Our population and activities
Our Children’s church has continued to grow and attracts many neighbouring children and those from a far land this has been so, because of the dedication of our teachers and assistants who give their all into training and naturing our children, we have also experienced growth as a result of the many unique activities we run throughout the years (Vibrant VBS, Out of Church Camps, Children’s home visitation and general care and involvement in the lives of our children in church and at home). Currently We minister to about 950 children in our two services every Sunday,
What gives us courage to keep going…
We have a grate support system from the entire leadership of the church family from the senior pastor to the cell group leaders who reach out to see what needs we have in the ministry and how they can support in to see the ministry grow.
We have laid our trust and Hope in Jesus and this has continued to bring forth sweet fruits, as we continue to witness salvation in our young people’s lives, for this we give all the glory and Honor to God,
